BRS leader K Kavitha, arrested last week in the Delhi liquor policy case, has been denied any relief by the Supreme Court. The Court instructed her to pursue relief through the trial court, adhering to a uniform policy.
The bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna, MM Sundresh, and Bela Trivedi declined to entertain K Kavitha’s petition, emphasizing the necessity of following standard legal procedures. Additionally, the Court emphasized that individuals, regardless of their political status or financial capacity, cannot bypass the trial court and directly approach the Supreme Court for bail.
